What is Somatics?

Somatic Movement Education is a gentle and relaxing slow mindful movement awareness practise that empowers you to release chronic pain, stress and tension. Creating more freedom of movement within the body, and calm within the mind.


Somatics is like a homecoming where we are re-introduced to our first home, our body, once again. Creating a deeper connection to self through this nourishing practise, we cultivate more peace and presence which has a positive effect on our overall health and wellbeing. 


This non-manipulative, self-healing modality focuses on the quality of the movement, connecting with the brain and spinal cord, releasing unconscious muscular contraction through neuromuscular re-education. Allowing root cause issues to unravel, creating space for physical and emotional healing.
